Zephyr
May giantesses turn the world
and crank the shaft of the sun and moon
while I sit by
and caress the petals
that drop, one, two, from the roses
Thereby seek the shadows
and thereby banish the dark
for melodies can only last
if we cast them in our hearts
Give the Earth Her due
and make note of what She says
for Her lessons shall lead us on
and make us what they may
We shall have the beauty
and we shall be it's prey
for tendrils seek us in our sleep
to caress and devour us
